It’s recommended to avoid long or full exposure to direct sunlight, swimming pools, and the ocean for at least 7 to 10 days after your treatment. Chlorine, saltwater, and UV rays can interfere with the healing process and may cause the pigment to fade more quickly. For the best results, follow the aftercare guidelines carefully and use SPF once the area is fully healed to protect and prolong your results.
-
Permanent make-up (PMU) is a cosmetic tattoo technique that enhances natural features like eyebrows, lips, and eyeliner using pigment implanted into the skin. It offers long-lasting results and reduces the need for daily make-up.
-
PMU typically lasts between 2 to 5 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and how well you follow aftercare. Colour may fade gradually and can be refreshed with a touch-up when needed.

Permanent make-up (PMU) is applied using a precision device with an ultra-fine needle that rapidly implants skin-safe pigment into the upper layers of the skin. The technique is similar to tattooing but far more refined and designed specifically for delicate facial areas. Achieving safe, natural-looking results requires professional skill, advanced equipment, and a deep understanding of skin and pigment interaction. At SQIN Care Algarve, we use top-tier PMU technology to ensure accuracy, comfort, and beautiful results every time.

Absolutely! Just bear in mind that you can only have a permanent makeup lip treatment 4 weeks after getting lip fillers. Conversely, you can have lip fillers 2 weeks after getting lip pigmentation.

It’s advisable to keep the skin dry for a few days, but don’t use plasters or bandages. I’ll provide a soothing aftercare product to help soften the skin and speed up the healing process. After three to four days, the top layer of skin will begin to renew itself. Try not to touch the area, let it heal naturally for the best results.
-
Due to increased sensitivity and hormonal changes, a PMU (permanent makeup) treatment during pregnancy isn’t ideal, as it can affect pigment retention. To be on the safe side, Elegance advises against treating pregnant women. However, having a treatment while breastfeeding is not a problem.
